Keywords that trigger Medallia Concierge's global auto-block feature

Updated over a week ago

To preserve the integrity of communications between you and your customers, there are a grouping of words that will trigger Medallia Concierge's built-in blocking. By default, this is how Medallia Concierge will handle the following keywords in accordance with industry standards:

  • STOP, STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, and QUIT will stop customers from receiving messages from your Medallia Concierge service number. Only single-word messages will trigger the block. When a contact uses one of these keywords, and outbound messages to this contact will be blocked. Your contact will receive a message that they have been unsubscribed and will not receive any more texts from your service number.

  • OPTIN, START and UNSTOP will opt customers back in to the messages coming from your Medallia Concierge phone number. This action will also remove the block on outbound messages from your service.

  • HELP and INFO will return a message informing the customer that they can use the above commands to control the delivery of messages.

For more information on these settings and additional Opt-In settings, please see this article: Contact Opt-In Settings.
