Attachments supported, size and file type limitations

Picture messaging or MMS is available through select Medallia Concierge subscriptions (contact your Customer Success Manager or Sales Executive if you'd like to add it to your service.)

To add an attachment to your message, select the paperclip icon from the +NEW message icon or when replying in the Conversation Detail pane.

Images can also be attached to messages sent by Zings.

File Types and Size Limitations

File size is limited to 5 MB. For group messages, 1 MB is recommended.

Image file types supported are PNG, JPG or GIF. Contact VCards can also be sent as attachments (MMS) over text messages in Medallia Concierge.

International MMS functionality

If the Medallia Concierge service phone number is a non-US/Canada number, or the recipient's phone number is a non-US/Canada number, MMS attachments coming from Medallia Concierge will be sent in the form of an SMS and use a shortened URL instead of an actual attachment. This difference in functionality is due to international carrier limitations related to MMS. Rest assured though, your international customers will receive your intended message with access to the attachment. πŸ‘Œ

Additional international MMS notes:

  • URLs will be displayed as new lines at the end of the message.

  • Multiple URLs (attachments) will be displayed one per new line.

  • Images will be stored and available for 90 days and can then be purged.
