Messaging Inhouse Guests

Configure Medallia Concierge with the ability to message your "Checked In" guests based off reservation status

Updated over a year ago

When using Medallia Concierge in a Hospitality setting, being able to specify communications to inhouse guests can be invaluable.

To begin, first ensure that Medallia Concierge is differentiating reservation status. In other words, make sure that there is some way that the system is showing whether or not each contact profile is checked in or not. In the instructions below, we will cover the two primary ways of doing this: by using a Tag or a Segment.

Defining "Checked In" Status with a Tag

Using a tag to identify checked in status works simply: when a reservation is checked in, either a Zing or user applies the tag to the contact profile. Group messages and Zings can then be sent to the "Checked In" tag while the contact is inhouse. When the guest checks out, the tag is removed from the contact profile.
