If you want to download Medallia Concierge for use on your mobile device, but discover that the app is incompatible with your device or not available in your country, this might be the result of the Google Play Store "Geo-Restricting" the app. Geo-restriction means that some apps are not available in certain countries or regions. It is a way to restrict access and the use of apps within a geographic area. This is not something that Medallia Concierge controls, but the steps below will provide you a workaround to ensure you can download the app successfully.
1. Begin by creating a secondary Google account. To do so, access your device Settings and tab on "Accounts"
From Accounts screen, scroll to the bottom and choose "+ Add Account"
From the new account page, tap on Google and select "Create Account" at the bottom left corner
Follow the on screen instructions to create a new account. The account will be created and added to the Google Play Store.
2. Open the Google Play Store and tap on the User profile menu (avatar) on the top right corner and switch to the new account you previously created.
3. From the Play Store home screen, tap on the Menu icon
Then click on Account
Under "Countries and Profiles" look for your name and country. You should see "Switch to the United States Play Store"
4. Tap to switch. The Google Play store will automatically change to the new country. We recommend changing your country to US.
It can take up to 24 hours to change regions and upon the change, you can search and install the Medallia Concierge mobile app for Android without any issues.
Note: You can only change your Play country once per year, which is why we recommend using a secondary account so that you don't lose your active subscriptions, payment methods, family sharing benefits, etc. on your primary Google account.
If you run into issues, you may need to try these steps AFTER connecting to a VPN app on your device and connecting to a US Server.
